The Driver Bubble™ Flex is designed to fit most types of vehicles and is very easy to install. As it comes fitted with straps and buckles, you can simply attach it to the grab handles above the vehicle doors or the columns between the front and rear doors.
Here is a quick guide to help you easily install your Driver Bubble™ Flex.
Installation Options For The Driver Bubble™ Flex
There are two different options for installation so that you can ensure easy installation no matter what type of vehicle you have. We’ll explain how to install both of these options below.
The first option attaches to the column between the front and rear doors of the vehicle. This is the recommended method of installation.
The second option involves strapping the protective screen to the grab handles above the front and rear doors of the vehicle.
When you install the Flex, please make sure that it does not interfere with the functionality of the vehicle or any of its safety features.
How To Install The Driver Bubble™ Flex
Below we explain step-by-step how to install the protective screen so that you can be out on the road in no time!
Step 1: Attach The Top Straps
First, you’ll need to attach the straps to the screen. To do this, take the end of a strap (without the slide buckle) and pull it through the hole in the top right corner of the screen.
The slide buckle should end up on the forward-facing side of the screen where the front seats of the vehicle are.
Step 2: Secure The Top Straps
Option 1: Open both the front and rear doors of the vehicle. On the right-hand side of the vehicle, loop the strap around the center column found between the front and rear doors. Use the slide buckle to tighten the strap so that the screen sits securely against the column.
When doing this, make sure that the strap does not interfere with the function of the vehicle’s airbag. This is the recommended method of installation as the straps are more out-of-the-way and can hold the screen more securely in place.
Option 2: If you decide to use the second installation option, you will need to thread the end of the strap (the side without the buckle) through the grab handle above the rear door. Next, pull the end of the strap to the front door’s grab handle and loop it through.
Simply place the end of the strap into the slide buckle and push it through the other side of the buckle to secure it. Pull the strap tight and thread the extra material of the strap back through the buckle. You can then cut off any excess so that the strap does not dangle down in the vehicle.
Step 3: Attach Additional Straps
Once you’ve repeated the steps above for the left-hand side of the screen, you can use the additional straps provided to secure the edges of the Driver Bubble™ Flex. These straps will help to pull the edges of the screen closer to the sides of your vehicle so that it fits neatly inside.
Take an additional strap and thread it through one of the extra holes along the side of the screen. Loop it around the center column and secure it with the slide buckle the same way as done in the step above. Again, remember to check that the straps do not inhibit the function of the vehicle’s airbags.
Step 4: Secure The Bottom
Lastly, you’ll need to secure the bottom of the screen. To do this, pass the looped end of the threaded rope with the drawstring stopper through the hole in the bottom right corner of the Flex.
Pull it all the way through to the front seat’s slider track. Loop the rope around the end of the slide track that is closest to the side of the vehicle. You can then pull it tight using the drawstring stopper and tie a knot to ensure it stays put. Cut off any excess string so that everything remains in place and out of the way.
Do this on the left-hand side of the vehicle as well. This will secure the bottom of the screen close to the front seats so that passengers will still have ample legroom.
And there you have it! The Driver Bubble™ Flex only takes four simple steps to install so that you can quickly get back to transporting passengers.
